MBA Hard case question

i was about to buy a hard case for my MBA 11'' so as not to thinking "what if i accidentaly drod it" ... and i know that if mba drops the damage is permanent as far as tha casis . so i chose a hard case from speck . suddenly i discovered that the reviews said that the case breaks 4-5 months after or even earlier . is that true? is there a case that will not break so soon ? i mean if it holds for over a year should be ok.
