MBA hinge, how tight?

If my MBA air is not flat the LCD will often slowly close or open (depending on the angle). Is this normal? Thanks.

NO, that isn't normal. Mine offers light resistance, but it would never move on its own. I would prefer a bit firmer myself. Take it in for some AppleCare service. Good luck.
