Can anyone tell me what your CPU speed is when running 4 threads on full load? The i5 runs at 2.4GHz per thread, but I can't test the i7 speeds since I don't currently have one.

I am not sure what application can tell you on OS X, but I ran prime 95 / CPU-Z / ThrottleStop on bootcamp.

Yes, the i7 runs at 2.9 GHz when only 1 core is active... same as the i5 runs at 2.7GHz.

However, when all cores are active, the i5 runs it at 2.4GHz. I was wondering if the i7 ran at 2.5/2.6 GHz or something.

The i7 Turbo Boosts to 2.6GHz when both cores are active.
