MBA In-Store pickup question (UK)

Hiya, asking here because I can’t see the answer on Apple.com

I’ve just ordered a MBA with free airpods for in store collect.

the Airpods are in stock now but the MBA is Sept 11. I want to collect both at the same time...will they just hold the Airpods until 11 Sept??
 
Yes, there are plenty of AirPods in stock at all Apple Stores, so they don't need to hold anything.
