MBA Late 2010 turns on and off

I have a late 2010 mba and today for some reason..when I tried to cut my laptop on it shuts right back off..and in order for me to get it to stay on I have to hold the power button..but when I tried to type my password in the keyboard is not working..does anybody know how i could fix this please
