MBA & LG 34UC88 (Ultrawide Monitor)

I've got a mid-2012 MBA and this week purchased an LG 34UC88 ultrawide monitor. I'm connected with a mini displayport to normal displayport cable.

At first everything worked perfectly but now I occasionally find the monitor won't wake with the laptop after sleep. The MBA wakes, the monitor detects a signal, beeps but never shows the desktop. If I reboot the MBA it seems fine again.

Any ideas?

Check the LG support website to see if there's a firmware update for your new monitor.
