Just today my M2 MBA 13 inch with Ventura 13.5.2 began tomshow error messages that system is t=running out of memory despite having 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD with only 200 GB used. no problems like this before but it has happened several times and only had MS Office, Mail, Photos and safari open I did most recent update when it was issued otherwise MBA is OK. can anyone help ?

Take a screenshot of the error message. When it appears, press these keys all at the same time - command-shift-3 - save the pic and post it here. I suspect this error message isn't coming from macOS but from some sketchy web site you may have gone to.

That does sound sketchy. Mac OS doesn’t display errors like that.

macOS does show errors like that, usually when a process has used a stupid amount of RAM. We use Enterprise Connect at my work to help people manage their passwords and occasionally one of its processes will start using 20Gb of RAM (on a machine that only has 16GB) and that box will pop up. For example...

It is best to open Activity Monitor and see what's causing the issue.

Even better when happens post a screen shot of Activity Monitor/memory usage sorted highest > lowest.
