Good Day People!

I just got the Macbook air a month ago.
I'm in love with it and everything but since I was a windows user for quite a long long time, i'm still getting used to the apple software... Yesterday I just activated my i mail and everything was perfect except when I found out that it doesn't send mails.. it's only incoming.. but anything i wanna send just gets stuck in the outbox.

I looked up in the settings, and made sure everything was just right... but now I have another problem: I click on it but it doesn't open in a window as it should. it just shows on top of the screen the Bold font "Mail" but the window itself is not there...

Thank you so much for your time to read this. and thanks ahead for your time to respond :) :)

You may have minimised the window instead of closing Mail.
Try to click on "Mail", then "close", then reopen mail from the dock and see if that works.

Hey!

I tried that but it doesn't work though.

Thanks for replying and trying to help.

What happens if you "right click" (control-click) on the mail icon in the dock? Do you see the "Quit" option? If so, tell it to quit and then restart mail.

Hello!

Thanks but I tried that too and it doesn't work either.

Thanks for the help :)

Exactly what didn't work?

I pressed quit and I reopened it doesn't wanna open.
Also I had some updates and I needed to restart my laptop and it didn't want to restart.

It says sth like it can't restart becuz of the I mail.

Do you have the option to Force Quit the application via "control click" on the dock icon? Or if you click on the Apple Logo in the top left, scroll down to and select "Force Quit", does Mail show up in the dialog box?
