This is getting very frustrating.

I close my MBA and if I open it an hour later, the screen is black for nearly a whole minute before it wakes.

Here are my PMsettings on battery

standbydelay 0
standby 0
halfdim 1
hibernatefile /var/vm/sleepimage
powernap 0
disksleep 10
sleep 15
autopoweroffdelay 0
hibernatemode 3
autopoweroff 0
ttyskeepawake 1
displaysleep 7
acwake 0
lidwake 1

It makes no difference if the Mac is plugged in or not in this time. I tried PSlog and all it says is "charged, discharging" every twenty-minutes or so. Doesn't give any more detail.

I disabled hibernate entirely (hibernatemode 0) and no longer had an issue, but I do not want to risk losing volatile memory.

Shouldn't mode 3 save to disk but STAY powered? I'm afraid that somehow a power fluctuation is triggering this, in which case is there any way to over-ride hibernation until a certain battery percentage?

I had the same issue, I noticed that Powernap was off (I don't recall set it off, update?), how ever I put it back on and now the wake up is instant!
