MBA Thunderbolt Display Help

When using chrome on the display I have to zoom in on the browser. But once I unplug my MBA the browser stays zoomed in and looks huge on the normal screen. Do I have to change the zoom on the browser everytime I switch between my MBA and thunderbolt display? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
 
Before you unhook it from the display scale the window and zoom back to size. Thats what I do. Its easier to do it before its unhooked.
