My current setup is 13 in M4 iPad Pro, M3 base (8GB) MBA, iPhone 16 plus.

I feel like it is redundant at this point to have both the iPad Pro and MBA.

Anyone else in a similar situation? Thinking of selling the MBA and getting a M4 mac mini.

We are in similar situations. I’m on the pro 90% versus my air. I need to keep a laptop( I think) for travel. But the last 3 day trip I took, was just the pro and I was fine. What has sold me over the brink was a friend of mine is developing AI applications. My MBA gagged under them. He had the new mini base with 512 and they ran seamlessly.

I am getting the mini, just not sure with a crucial 2 tb ssd that I need to go 512. I also have a studio display, but I think I need a new keyboard too. Probably gonna get the new kb from Apple. Decisions, decisions!

I had a studio last year and sold it as my use cases didn’t justify the hardware.
so if you go with the mini base( my MBA has 16gb and a tb storage) now that I don’t have to spend to get to 16gb ram, what size hd are you looking at and why?

Just looking at the base M4 mac mini. Figure 16GB is enough for my web browsing, excel usage, and light video editing of family videos. Would pair it with an external SSD for my files and use the internal storage for the software/apps.
