MBA turns on fine, Chime, screen is backlight fine, but no picture at all

computer is fine, responsive, all works, but black screen.
when connecting external display - all fine.

so i assumed it was the display. so I switched to different MBA display - and the issue persist!!!!

What?!

anyone can think of a reason?

Brightness is UP, back-light shows, but no pic is being displayed even though the computer is totally fine otherwise.

updating this thread.

this was quite surprising to me - but it ended up being the display itself. I installed a 2nd defected display.

a 3rd one fixes the issue.

slim odds but this is what it was.
