Hey everyone,
I know this is a topic that has come up many times because I've seen the titles, but now that I need it, I cannot find it for the life of me.

So here is my issue. I plugged my iPhone into my new macbook pro but when I straight into itunes, it's as though nothing is plugged and the computer wont recognize that anything is even plugged.

HELP! how can I fix this??

check you have the latest :apple: software updates.
Can you get your photos in iPhoto? do a test, so that way you check if the cable is OK.

In this case, a restart didn't work, and iPhoto didn't recognize it, and software was all up to date (wow, we all do think alike :) ). FWIW, it didn't recognize my iPad, iPod touch, but it did recognize a nano.

BUT, that's just me. Good luck OP

BINGO! I restored my iPhone and iTunes picked up on it. Was able to get it working again. Thanks a lot!
