Have an Mbox 1 from a friend this is my first mac and am wondering what will I need to make it work with garage band.I have a new macbook 2.4 dc 4 gig ram if that matters. Thank you
 
The m-box acts as the authorising hardware for Protools, but the Protools installation also installs the drivers for the M-box, once you install Protools, your m-box will turn up in the Input and Output windows in the Audio tab on your System preferences.
