Second, my MBP gets quite hot as well (although I use it on my desks at home & work). To cool it a little, I bought the Spire Pacific Breeze cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834996501 cheap, brings the average temperature under heavy CPU load down by around 10-15 deg. Celsius. Haven't tried other coolers, but I'm sure a quick search of the forums will give you plenty of other ideas.
