Mbp 10.6.1 Freezes when plugged in

Hi people,

I've encountered a problem wich I didn't see anyone else post here yet:

Every time I connect my mpb to the power so that it can charge, it freezes (mouse still moves) and i have to use the power button to reboot. Keeps happening REALLY annoying...

I'd be greatfull for suggestions!

Before anything I'd try to reset the PRAM and do an SMC reset. See if that happens to help. There is no kernal panic type thing going on, is there?

I wouldn't know about a kernel panic (just got this mac a couple of weeks ago and not a wiz with the computer).

How could I reset the RAM?

How to reset the PRAM:

Hold down the COMMAND-OPTION-P-R keys at startup.
