I'm looking at buying one of these now. If I go for the higher spec MBP 13", what I'm I getting for my extra £180?

ripped off

both cpu's are old as dust by today's standards, and you won't notice much difference between the two. go with the cheaper one.

the $300 "upgrade" is certainly bending you over for a slighter faster processor.
and yeah even with the new integrated video card (320 vs 9400), this new macbook is out of date.

Go with the cheaper one and use the saved up money on an SSD. Since My late 09 MBP got destroyed by liquid damage, I plan on getting the low end MBP but add an SSD. 300 dollars better spent on an upgrade you'll notice
