Hey guys, newbie forum poster on here.

I have the opportunity to purchase a 2008 13" MB (the unibody Macbook, I think it looks just like the MBP of today)
2.4 C2D
4 gig ram
250 gig HD
geforce 9400m
(you get the idea).
It also has 10 months of applecare still left on it.

Here is my question. Is it worth is for 650$ (CND)?

I want this laptop as a basic surf companion, and server for my ipad/atv2 (running, remote desktop, air video etc). Also ilife work (light video/music making)

I'm thinking about getting it instead of a brand new one for the sole purpose that there is a possible re-design coming next year, and this could hold me down until then, and then I could re-sell hopefully for about the same range.

So basically my question to you guys is, should I get this (will the laptop run what I need)? or should I opt for a new base model 13" MBP for retail.
