Hello!

Just a quick question of: Will a 12.5mm 1TB HDD fit into my (newly purchased - I didn't wait!) MBP 13" '10?

I have seen (on here IIRC) that someone has fit a 12.5mm into his 13".

I was looking when I was just pulling out my (F&#%*^G!) defective Momentus XT and it seems like there is 3mm of room available..

Has anyone done it? :apple:

Yes, 12.5mm 1TB 2.5" drives fit in the Uni-MBP. Too slow for my tastes but the Seagate 750GB 9.5mm 7200rpm works well for me.

Cheers,

Thank You!
I'm going to (try) get a refund for my faulty Momentus XT (ebay - from China) and get a 1TB! :D :apple:

I can also confirm that it will fit. I have just installed a Toshiba 1TB HDD into my 13" Macbook pro and its working perfectly! :D

think this question is related enough to add to this thread:

is there any expectation that the (hopefully) imminent new macbook pros will offer a 1tb hd as an option in the 13"?

Highly doubt it with the imminent move to SSD storage on the horizon.

That being said I'd be worrying about whether the 13" MBP will even exist in the not too distant future.
