Hello guys,

Have a query. Would be grateful if someone who used the keypad repair program could advise.

My MacBook 13 Pro 2016 without touch bar's keypad had press issue on multiple key (double input). It's out of warranty. The Apple store has kindly replace 1x key cap on the first go (4 hours train back & forth / post service not available), when visited to collect more keys were not registering. A week later, they've now kindly replaced the top cover (with battery). I remember in the terms it's a 90 days cover the repair.

Would I be right in assuming each machine could only benefit from this fix once? (Out of warranty). I did ask the store this they suggested if it occurs again to contact them.

Assuming that I type a bit - and the keypad starts to failing again outside the 90 days, whilst Apples's keypad replacement program is active - might it be hard to get it replaced again? (Has anyone had to get the 2nd repair?)

I know Apple stores help where possible. Though keen to not be in the same position again / might sell this fast as possible and get a warrantied Thinkpad with replaceable keypad.

They will continue to repair the machine as long as the repair program is running
