We have a 2016 MBP 13” - the WiFi module has gone bad - Apple wants $500 - $600 to fix.

Anyone know of a USB WiFi dongle that will work on this MBP with MacOS Monterey? I tried a StarTech and no go - it won’t recognize the device at all; doesn’t even show up is SysInfo

TIA…

I wouldn't pay $500 for a wifi repair.
I'd search for a 3rd-party wifi dongle/adapter and use that instead.

It might require some investigating, reading user reports, etc. But you have to do, what you have to do.

Also, it might be worth "going back" to an earlier version of the OS, if NONE of the current wifi adapters will work with Monterey...
