Hey, I'm coming from a 2010 MBP 15'' with dedicated graphics AMD Radeon 675M 16GB RAM and a 512GB Samsung EVO SSD.

Sadly the battery is failing. I might try and purchase a replacement battery and give this laptop to one of my family members.

Anyway, because of all this, I've decided to buy a new laptop. My choices are:

1. Macbook Pro 13'' 512GB + 16GB RAM
2. Macbook Pro 15'' 256GB + 16GB RAM

--3. Save money and get the 256/8GB RAM.

My main uses will be iTunes, FaceTime, Safari, Mail, Evernote, Word, Pages, Ibooks, Transmission, iCal, Steam and XBMC. From Steam, I want to play Civ 5, Football Manager 2014/2015 and maybe a few old school games too.

I understand that due to my gaming requirements, the MBP 15'' might be better because of the quad core CPU due to the fact FM 2015 is a processor hungry game. Am I right in my assessment?

What should push me towards and away from the 15''/13''? The lack of dedicated graphics does make me a little worried since I've had it on this machine.

Option 2 for your gaming purposes.

But better option 3 and a playstation ;)

Well I do have a PS3, Ps Vita, 3DS and a GTX 670 gaming rig.

However, games like FM 2014 I feel are best played on a laptop on the go.
