My macbook pro seems to be overheating, beachball stays on the screen and photoshop doesn't load.
Also, using vmware is making my system VERY slow.
Itunes is also crashing on me alot.
I took it to Apple and they said the system was fine and that I should buy the applecare to fix issues later on.
I have the mid 2009 version

You should download smcFanControl and figure out what your fans are running at. Also take a look at your temps.

Is it a legitimate version of Photoshop? CS3? CS4?

Any virtualization software is very heavy on a laptop. You will probably need to upgrade your ram

Sounds related to the heat issue. You might want to research SMC Reset and PRAM reset.

One thing we do know, if it says MBP and it's 13", it's only got one generation. ;)

all 13" glass front MB's are not Pros.

Where's Shamwow at??:p

I meant 'Sure?' as in buying AppleCare might be a good idea.

cs3 suite full version from my school's art department.
I'll download the fan manager.
I upgraded the memory to 4GB the day after i bought it.
I have the 2.26ghz 13.3" macbook pro.
safari crashed a few mins ago however, after all this, battery seems to have improved. Was only getting 2 hrs max. Now I'm getting 4-5 from minimal use.
