I think the bottom case screws in a MBP 13" are M3, but is the thread pitch size 0.5mm or 0.35mm?

One of mine won't turn all the way in and I suspect there is something (Loctite?) blocking the threads so I thought I'd gently pass an M3 tap through there but there are 2 pitch sizes and I want to make sure I use the right one.

I'm sorry, but I do not know the spec for the screws.

I do know that some year/model MBPs have different length screws at different locations. Check to see if that is the case for your MBP. I have a 2011 that I think had 3 holes that were like that.

iFixit.com might have the information you need for the screws specs.
