Hi, I'm receiving today a new MBP 16", and I was wondering, would my old MBP 13" charger work even a little?
Or would it be impossible to charge the 16" with it?

I know it's not ideal, but frequently I forget my charger at the office, and having at least a functional backup at home would be nice.

Thanks!

Assuming you're talking about a USB-C 60W charger, it will work. However, you'll get slower charging speed overall and battery drain when the machine is under load.

I’m using my old 15” charger with my new 16” I guess it just charges slower but I don’t care and I never use it so intensely that I have battery drain. Maybe it happened once for a few minutes while I was exporting a video, but when I’m working I never use the CPU and GPU too much for extended periods of time
