Would you please give me advice in regard to upgrading the HDD on MacBook Pro 13".
Currently I have
Hitachi HTS545025B9SA02:
Capacity: 250.06 GB (250,059,350,016 bytes)
Model: Hitachi HTS545025B9SA02
Rotational Rate: 5400

I looking for 500 Gb HDD. What kind of HDD compatible with MBP 13", possibly with RPM 7200?

I appreciate your help.

Seagate Momentus 7200.4 is the only one offering 500GB with 7.200rpm.

Thank you for help! Just one question: does this drive has the same power requirements as my current Hitachi with 5400 rpm and can I easy replace HDD by myself?

Thanks again!

It requires more power, but the MBP can handle it, you will only loose 10 to 20 minutes of battery life though.

And yes, you can easily replace the HDD.

uh, ok. That is incorrect, as i am using a Hitachi Travelstar 500GB 7200RPM currently.

uh. You're right. I haven't known that yet, even though it seems that the drive was released in September of last year.

Hmm.

Btw, wasn't Hitachi the first to introduce 7200rpm 2.5" HDDs with a 80GB drive?
