MBP 13/MBPR 15 - Both giving Kernel panics when using Display.

Hi guys,

A couple months ago I bought a brand new 27" Apple Display Thunderbolt. I plugged it to my MBP 13" and the computer started giving kernel panics... took it to the Apple store, they changed the motherboard and I still had the same issues. They claimed that most likely it was my third party ram (OWC).

I kept having random kernel panics but I never swapped the RAM as I needed the laptop at that point in time.

I recently started using a work brand new MacBook Pro Retina 15", worked beautifully and last week I hooked up to the same display. Not surprisingly, it started with the kernel panics again.

The MBPR hasn't restarted when unplugged from the display, but plugged in has happened a few times now.

What are the chances of the Display causing kernel panics?
