MBP 13" Mid2012 lags when TV-out!

Im not that happy with this. My macbook works very well, untill i connects it to my TV with an miniDisplayPort to HDMI-cable everything lags. Tried many TVs, same result.

Is it a Mavericks issue?

Not really giving us much information to go off of.
What brand of cable are you using?
Are you mirroring or clamshell mode?
What resolution are you working at when connected to the tv?
Possible amount of ram too? (not sure, but I assume that would affect display use to some extent)

My mid-12 works just fine when I hook it up to tvs and I use a generic thunderbolt-HDMI cable
