MBP 13 NTB up to doing audio room analysis?

I need to get a new notebook but don't want to spend too much while we all wait, and wait, and wait... Referencing some posts and threads citing the single-fan, nonTB MBP13 as having heating issues and throttling, I have specific use-case questions.
  • Is this model capable of running audio room analysis and correction (EQ) w/o melting down?
  • Would it throttle much with such a workload?
  • Specific Program: Amarra Symphony IIRC
