Hi everyone.

I have a 2015 MBP 13" Retina.

The battery count is 764 and it says the condition of the battery is normal.

However it now only holds about an hour, maybe 2 hours of charge max, even if I just am playing music on it in the background.

I am looking in to getting a replacement battery - are they worth it?

To add - not sure what is means but the amperage is -2261

Worth it? I would probably pay to have my 2015 MBP battery replaced because replacing the machine would be much more expensive, and I still find it a most excellent laptop.

If your goal is to have a laptop with much longer battery life then yes, replacing the battery is most definitely worth it.

If you're only getting 1-1.5 hours out of the battery, it's worth paying to have it replaced at the Apple Store.
Price should be $199 and that should include both parts AND labor.
Make sure about that before you put it into their hands.

The 2015 battery is glued to the top, and considering that a replacement would probably cost AT LEAST $75, I'd just as soon pay "to have them do the job", rather than risking it myself and breaking something.

It's definitely worth it to have the battery replaced...if the machine still does what you need it to.

i also have MBP 13" late 2015 model. Battery cycles around 410 and i am still getting 7.5-8 hrs on wifi.
perhaps i will also get the battery changed after some time if i am lucky enough to use it for 2 more years.
