Hi,
I'm half a year or more out of warranty, and recently, my 13" MBP (2009) 2.26 C2D, got a crack in the upper left hemisphere of the screen. It seems brittle and I don't want to molest it, but I want to make sure the soon-to-be owner of the computer (mom's upgrading from 2005 Imac) receives it with a fully functional screen.
I found a link to a place 'laptopscreens' that sell the 1280x800 LED backlit screen for the 2008+ UMB. Is it plausible that I could replace the screen, with help from the internet and good hands? Or is Apple's hundreds of dollars service my only option?
E.
