I just bought MPB 13" with touch bar less than a month ago and battery lasts only for 4-4.5 hours even with smallest tasks. Most of the time it is ideal. anyone experiencing same issue , should I return it or send it for apple authorised dealer. Quit annoying really for such an expensive device

There are very long & popular threads about MBP battery issues. The summary is quite simple:
1) MBP batteries are smaller than before, so there’s no magic bullet
2) screen brightness has the most impact on battery consumption, so use 50-70% to save hours not minutes
3) high demanding workloads (compilers, video editing) and constant wifi usage (cloud services, backup, remote access) will also reduce battery life

The 10h capacity listed by Apple is for playing h264 video from a file with the screen set at 75%. No wifi, no other workload.

If you work with text editing, spreadsheets, etc you should be able to use your MBP for close to 9-10 hours. Others have done it.

If not, you should take it to Apple and complain. I did and now I’m waiting for a replacement battery to be swapped.

thanks guys, very disappointing, as I use it for Bussiness and I want it running as long as possible , I suppose I'll return it to apple and see what they say
