Hello everyone, I was hoping any owners of the 2018 15 MBP could share some experience. (Or if any of the most recent MacBooks from 2016 onwards)

Do the fans get very high and loud if running Windows? I know the dedicated graphics cannot be turned off under Windows resulting in a higher temperature.

My MBP 2011 is unusable in Windows as almost immediately without doing anything the fans would max out and the machine would be super hot.

(I know some might ask why run Windows on a Mac but I need it for some software)

Another question, if I were to use a eGPU I would imagine the dedicated gpu in the MacBook would no longer generate heat as it should technically not be in use, right?

Thanks all. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I installed Win10 Pro last night and all went well. Today I installed QBPro, AutoCad, Photoshop and Office and have not heard the fan one time. All is buttery smooth and could not be more happy.

Thats great to hear because your software is very similar to what I need to use. Which model do you have if I may ask?
