I'm in dyer need of a new laptop, and I'm thinking about making the move to Apple. Someone has offered me a MBP 15 2010. price at $460USD.

Since I'm completely new to Mac, I need help on this price. My only two concerns are; a dent in the shell, and it being a 2010. ANY advice on this price would be great, and thanks in advance!

here is the info he gave me.

15-inch, 2.53 processor intel core i5, 4GB memory, Intel HD 288MB graphics
500GB HDD

That is about the most I would pay for that computer, but you might be able to find something similar for as much as 100 dollars less.

for 500 dollars I've seen 2011 Sandy Bridge MBP's, and they are far better performers than the 2010 and previous.
