MBP 15.4 "not charging"

I have a Late 2008 Macbook Pro 15.4".
When I plug in the magsafe cord - the battery indicator says "not charging."

I followed Apple's procedure in HT3964 including resetting the SMC and that didn't make a difference.
Any last suggestions before I call Apple?
