[Moderator note: This thread previously had the title "Buyers BEWARE: SUPER UNRELIABLE Apple"]

This is what happened to my MBP 15" BTO ;

Order date: March 3

Ships by: Mar 5 - Mar 7

Delivers by: Mar 7 - Mar 13

Above are info from Apple.

Below are info from FEDEX

Package received after FedEx cutoff

Deliver by: March 12

and FINALLY,

Delivered March10 9:14am :D :D :D

The new multitouch Gesture is PERFECT as I expected. Now I dont miss not having the other mouse button ! I dont even need to use the click button anymore.

so they told you exactly when it would/should be shipped, and delivered, and they did that.

waht is so unreliable about telling the truth?

Actually, it's FedEx's info that was unreliable.

Saying it'd take until the 12th, but delivering it on the 10th. The nerve of them. ;)

I had the same thing happen. Ordered a MBP and a TIme Capsule. Both shipped on a Friday. FedEx said both would be delivered the following Wednesday. The MBP arrived Monday and the TC showed up on Tuesday. Nice surprise! :)

So I take it your title was meant to be sarcastic?

Edit: It's sad that now I can read a title like that and expect it to actually happen. Before Apple's explosion in popularity I would've known 100% that it was sarcastic. Oh well.

I surprised that you all have been surprised by the delivery of your computers.

I have always been able to track the shipment with FedEx and know exactly when the package was going to arrive.

You may want to try that in the future. Works very well.:p

Same here. I just think it's odd that FedEx apparently doesn't know when exactly the package will be arriving.

Even after they delivered it on Monday, the Delivery Date on their tracking screen showed Wednesday. Ugh.

I have never had that happen. I can see that the parcel is on the truck for delivery. Are you in the US?
Yup. It's happened the last 4 out of 5 times I've ordered from Apple.

I can see when the order its out for delivery, it's just surprising to see it being delivered days before the "Expected Delivery Date" on the FedEx tracking page.

I'll snag a screen shot of it next time. :)
