MBP 15" (early 2011) is about to die. What are my options?

I have an early 2011 MBP 15" 2.2GHz Intel Core i7 with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD.
I use it for video editing with Avid Media Composer 7.
The computer seems like it's gonna die soon. I'm starting to have display issues.
I'm also in the middle of editing a documentary, all 1080p footage, and I can't be without a computer.
Since new MBP 15" are expected later this year, I was thinking of getting a new low end 13" now. Then maybe get a high end 15" if I need it when it comes out.
I'm not to worried about the screen size since I always use an external monitor.
Just wanted to hear your thoughts.

Are you having graphics (card) issues? As Apple has recently recalled many early 2011 15'' MBP's and you would be eligible for a free repair. Mine was repaired 3 times but it still failed...

The performance delta between the middle i5 and top i7 offered in the 13" rMBPs is less than 10%.
Completely agree. Going with the dual core i7 is throwing money away.
That $200 would be better spent on more RAM or bigger SSD.
