I've gotten my hands on a used MBP 15" i7 2,2ghz, Radeon 6750m 1gb.

The problem with it is that after the apple logo and loading screen the screen will get all grey when try booting into os x.
I've tried to reinstall Lion but with the same symptom.

Tried to load into os x in safe mode but then it gives me a blue screen with pink lines.

Then I tried to load windows to it and it is all working until i load the GPU drivers, then after reboot the screen will go all black and the fans will spin up.

So its obviously something with the GPU.

Any suggestions what to try?

I do not want to hear anything about taking it to a apple reseller etc so please spare me that.

This is a weird thing to say you have. It appears that your computer has a hardware defect and it seems clear that you don't have the tools and expertise to repair it yourself. The next logical choice is to bring it to the repair service.

Anyway, try running Apple hardware test on it, if you have a DVD (or if your machine has a recovery partition).
