I saw a post that was saying that there isn't many programs that will utilize the quad-core.

Will the quadcore with turbo give me a big boost in processing power compared to the C2D?

I am not worried about keeping up with the Joneses, I just want an awesome machine that will work well with cpu intensive programs.

With that being said, would it be just better for me to get the MBP 15'' i7 C2D or will I be pleased with the performance I get from the quad-core?

The reviews kinda it makes it seems that the quad-core is just preparing for advances in technology down the road...

Thanks in advance!

You want the new i7 quad-cores there are so awesome, its around 150% faster than than a C2D, and it really shows in CPU intensive programs, my dad has one, well I bought my C2D and never upgraded

Hope this helps

There is no such thing as an i7 C2D. So that leaves the Quad-Core.

Technically, since the last generation MBP i7 was a two core processor it was referred to as a C2D at times due to the architecture.
