I am having this problem with my new mbp 15 since last week.

When I use the menu :apple: -> Sleep manually, the system does go to sleep completely, with a flashing LED.

However only the screen sleeps if the sleep is triggered by energy saver settings (time out). The LED indicator is always white, without flashing, which indicates this is not a 'system sleep'.

I googled and tried a lot of different ways - including killing as many processes as I can, resetting PRAM and PMU/SMC. Nothing worked.

Any clue?

thanks
