So I'm thinking it's time to upgrade my mac. I used to have an MBP 15' Late 2013, 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M. Great laptop, could even play games on it like Civ 6 especially through bootcamp. However my girlfriend had a 13' of the same year, 2,4 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, 8gbb. and she kinda needed the power more of the 15' then I did for graphic designing, so we switched laptops. I know the things you do for love.....
Since I'm flying a lot, and spending a lot of time away travelling, the 13' did started to grow on me. Not in terms of power, but the size and the weight was a huge relief.
Now it's time to upgrade, and I'm heavily leaning towards the 13'(hoping for a new 14'), however I have a question regarding the video cards on the Mac. I loved my discrete GT 750M, however since they don't offer discrete graphics in the 13', I'm wondering how well do they compare to the current Intel Iris Plus 655 cards for example.
I'm not into video/photo editing, it's just mainly my curiosity if I might still be able to play games as well as I could on my 15'? If someone wants to explain me the difference in technology that would be more then welcome as well.
Thanks!

I'd wait and see what the spring brings in terms of announcements. There are rumors abound saying that a 2020 13/14 inch is on the way (maybe even an ARM MacBook). I had a 2018 13 inch and just sold it because:

1. I couldn't stand the keyboard.
2. It seemed so fragile (I was afraid to use it).

I ended up buying a used late 2013 13 inch for cheap and pocketing the rest. Yeah its a dual core i5 but Its pretty snappy for general use and I forgot how much I missed MagSafe. I'm waiting to see if 2020 brings a return to the glory days of the MacBook Pro.
