Hi all.
When I received this unit for a repair project, clicking did not work, however tracking did. So I enabled tap-clicking. After disassembling, cleaning, repairs, re-assembling, now there is a strange problem:
Gestures work. Tap-clicking works. However, simple tracking does not work. In other words, I cannot move the cursor, but with 4-finger swipe I can switch to another desktop, or launch Launchpad, etc. With two finger tap, I can open up the contextual menu. But simply no tracking. Strange, no?
Right now I am waiting for a display cable to arrive, been using this as a headless Mac, accessing it through screen sharing and ARD. I do not think that is the problem...or is it?
SMC reset, done. PRAM reset, done. Taking apart the trackpad and gently cleaning and putting it back, done. Cables checked.
Thanks for any insight or pointers.

Nevermind, I found the reason. Because there was no physical screen attached, internal or external, trackpad/mouse behaviour was inconsistent. Must be a X.org thing. Found this by installing Duet Display and using my iPad as a monitor. Bi skimden anladığınız yok zaten, sorulara bak forumdaki...
