I'm kicking the idea with upgrading my current MBP 2.33ghz, 4gig RAM (only 3 seen), 320gig HDD, ATI 1600X 256 for a 2.8ghz, 4gig, 500gig HDD, 512 video.

I've been reading about the SATA conflicts and curious about how Apple is going to resolve this (Firmware update?).

Any ideas or opinions?

I primarly use this machine for coding, some photo editing, and DVD movie creation. I might play some WOW on it but I have a gaming desktop for that. The part that interests me is the uni body since my current MBP is bowing near the cdrom drive and I'm still getting electric shocks.
