Just bought a brand new 15" MBP, and immediately after unboxing the screen brightness seems to just move/adjust without adjusting via brightness buttons. Anyone else have this issue, or know how I could fix it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

System Preferences > Display > Automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes (turn this off!)

It's not really a bug. It's a feature: it has a luminosity sensor.

It'll auto-adjust for your. But if you don't want it, then go to System Preferences > Displays > Display and uncheck "Automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes"

Thanks! Not sure how I missed this. Option must have always been un-checked on my old mac. Kinda feel like an idiot...

Hmm, i prolly would too, but, mistakes happen. Mine goes schizo in certain light conditions. I will be typing and the screen is almost pulsing bright to dim. So i uncheck the auto dim.
