id like to know if there would be an advantage to purchase with the Vega 16 over the 555x GPU on the 15” MBP.

I’d work with web/UI design and utilize a 4K monitor, built in display and a 27” 1440p display.

I was about to tell you to go with Vega, because the RX was getting hot and loud when external monitor is connected, but I think they fixed it recently. With only 3440x1440 connected (clamshell mode) the rx555 consumes 5W. When the lid is open + the external 1440p UW it goes to 10W. I don't have a 4k to connect as third display. In both cases the fans stay at idle position and I'm 100% sure they were ramping up couple of months ago. Get the 555x from bestbuy while on sale and save a ton of money.

So does the RX555/560 still consume more power and hotter than Vega on average web browsing/video overall?
