I know this isn't a new post or anything, but I never got any answers from others on this forum on what happened in the end with their MBPs. Are the issues people experienced like losing 1% every 1-2 minutes hardware related or were these issues fixed by doing SMC resets and such? Just worried whether or not I need to have my laptop checked in person by Apple.

When did you buy it? Maybe it’s because its new, I have the same issue with a MBP 13”, and people said me that it’s normal in the first days.

But I talked with Apple and they are going to replace it

Received it June 12th from Amazon, its past its return window. Apple scheduled me for a repair at a authorized 3rd party but I don't want that. If any work is to be done, I want Apple Genius Bar. But they are closed for now. I don't know who to speak to and if this even warrants a replacement.

I'm coming to the end of my first charge on my new 16" MacBook Pro.

I'd say i got a good 8 hours out of it. General web browsing, spotify, youtube etc.

Whilst this isn't the battery life you would expect / as advertised I've read many posts stating that the battery life will increase once the indexing is complete and after a few weeks of use.

I've also read using Chrome over Safari uses alot more battery which is what I'm also attributing mine too.

I didn't get much time out of my first full charge, but I also loaded up a game and spent an hour playing it. It started the game around 70%, went down to 35% after an hour of playing.

For general use - it seems like it's been SIPPING power. I bought a refurb 16" 2.3 gHz i9 direct from Apple, it came in with 4 cycles on it. With 5 cycles on it, I have 99.3% capacity according to CoconutBattery. 2 hours, 27 minutes on battery (including sleep, it's been in use for 30-45 minutes and I'm only down to 97%

I’ve not checked with any battery monitoring software but I’ll try today and let you know the outcome 😊

Did you talk with Amazon? I think that they replace your MBP for a new 16” MBP if you have some issues
