Hey guys,

Got my 16" macbook pro after years of waiting for a decent keyboard. Refused to buy the buttershit keyboard. Thanks to everyone who bought it and kept that going for years?

Overall I am very happy. In fact, the keyboard is probably the best keyboard I have ever used on a laptop.

HOWEVER

On the front right corner, it doesn't seem to touch the desk properly. If I touch the corner or rest my hand on the side panel, the laptop moves.

All other corners are fine.

Has anyone else experienced this, or just me ?

Attached - you can clearly see there is a gap between the laptop and the desk.

If you are sure your desk is completely even it could be twisted frame, battery or bottom place alignment issue.
Do you notice anything out of the ordinary when turning the machine upside down?

If I close the screen, the missing weight shifts to the back left corner.

Desk is fine, macbook air had no problems.

Just noticed another user posted the same issue.

apple.

You mean all four feet contact the table when the screen is closed?
Then it is maybe some alignment issue with the display hinges. The chassis is pretty flexible these days compared to rock solid old models.

Anyway, I'm not sure what manufacturing tolerances are for that but I'd try to find a straight one for myself.

Was there not something similar on here with the previous model where a few people's machines suffered from the same thing?

Regardless, if you're not happy, just take it back and get it replaced.

No, when the screen is < 45 ', the back-left corner doesn't touch the desk

When the screen is > 45', the front-right corner doesn't touch the desk

Another user recently posted what I believe is the same issue

Waiting for confirmation that this isn't an issue across all devices
Sounds like twisted chassis. Probably display panel weight distribution based on the angle just causes the difference you see which leg not touching the desk. Not sure what the manufacturing tolerance is but there are straight ones plenty. Mine is not wobbling (it is MBP 13 2019 but it does not matter here).

Not necessarily bent. I had one that way once, bottom plate looked ok but simply taking it off and reseating it did the trick perfectly and it sat flat on every surface thereafter.

That poster was talking about his trackpad, you seem to be talking about something completely different. It should be completely flat, if yours isn't, I would take it to Apple.
