I have noticed strange behaviour on my new MBP.
I have multiple accounts on it.
As long as only one user is logged in and no application requiring dGPU is running I see Radeon is inactive consuming minimum amount of power (< 0,5W). This is expected.
When I switch to another account (still without running any application requiring dGPU) I see constantly power charge ~5W from Radeon (pictures below - I have underlined Radeon power sensor).
Istat menus & activity monitor confirm that iGPU is active. When I close the session and again 1 user is active power goes down to <0,5W
It looks like Radeon is active in low power state (normally is consumes approx 20W minimum) in parallel to iGPU when more than one account is logged in. It impacts remaining battery predictions of course.
Not sure what to think about it. Is it normal? Anyone else see it?
