Not sure how/when it happened but with how thin the aluminum is with these new M1 Pro MBPs, beware of the slight flexing of the lower display corners flexing next to the hinge. Photos attached.
If/When it happens you'll begin to notice while opening/closing display, the corner back edge of the top case briefly rubbing against the bottom rubber lining of the display due to tight tolerances near the hinge.
Then I came across this YouTube video showing how to fix this. In the video, plastic cards was used but I went with a less harmful material: old Apple accessory boxes using a flap to wedge in between the display and top case. After a few times of opening/closing the display, the flex was corrected and the display no longer comes in contact with the top case edge.
