I am having a tough time deciding which one to buy?

Most of the time, I use it to check mails, Words, Powerpoint, Excel, light coding, and watching Youtube.

I am also looking to use it to play games like World of Warcraft.

My question is, can the M1 Max play WoW better? Is it significant enough?

Also does the disc size matter? 512Gb vs 1 Tb?

There are other threads that talk about this kind of thing if you get tired of waiting for a response.

My only-barely-informed impression is that WoW isn't demanding enough to need a Max.

Thanks for sharing this piece of information. I guess the Pro is just as good, wish there is a Max comparison.

There have been a few comments actually about running WoW on the M1 Max! If you can’t find them take a peek at my comment history or just thumb through the MBP Forum posts from the last two days, the titles always include “gaming” or “wow”.

The Max versions GPU really is twice as fast as the Pro. Whether that actually translates into twice as fast frame rate in games depends on a number of factors including whether that particular games speed is also being limited by using all available CPU power before it gets close to running out of GPU power.

That is what I want to know the most. I can’t find any direct comparison. Esp for WOW

This covers a higher-end M1 Pro vs a higher-end M1 Max for gaming, though not WoW specifically. I'm sure you can play on either. Really depends on what level of performance you're aiming for, and how much you're willing to pay for it.
